  • 1 stick margarine
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ cup sour milk or buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 6 tablespoons milk
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

directions

1. Bring margarine, cocoa, and water to boil.
2. Pour mixture over mixed sugar and flour.
3. Add buttermilk, soda, vanilla, and eggs.
4. Pour into greased sheet pan. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes.
5. **5 minutes before cake comes out, bring to boil: 1 stick margarine, cocoa, and milk.
6. Remove from heat. Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla.
7. Spread frosting over cake as soon as out of oven.
