ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds round steak, 1/2 in thickness
  • 2 envelopes brown gravy mix
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons worchestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon ginger
  • 2 bay leaves
  • hot buttered noodles

directions

1. Cut meat in 1" squares. Brown meat in 1 T hot oil.
2. Remove meat from skillet, add gravy mix, and 4 cups of water.
3. Bring to boiling, stirring constantly. Stir in next 6 ingredients, plus 1/2 t. salt and 1 t pepper.
4. Add meat. Turn into a 1 1/2 quarter casserole. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours.
5. Remove bay. Serve over noodles.
