- ½ cup margarine/shortening
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup pumpkin
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 3-4 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
- ¼ stick butter
- ¼ block cream cheese
- powdered sugar

1. Mix shortening, sugar, and eggs.
2. Stir in pumpkin.
3. Stir in dry ingredients.
4. Chill 1 hour.
5. Drop by large, flattened spoonfuls. Bake at 375 for 6-8 minutes or until set.
6. After cooling, frost (beat together butter, cream cheese, and enough p. sugar to make icing).
