ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup crisco
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 4 ½ cups flour
  • 2 orange zest
  • 2 oranges' juice
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 orange juice and zest

directions

1. Cream sugar and crisco. Add eggs.
2. Alternate milk with dry ingredients. Add rind and juice.
3. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
4. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.
5. Cream sugar and butter. Add orange juice and zest. Spoon over cookies while warm.
