ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 5 tablespoons cold butter, chunked
  • ½ cup dried cranberries
  • cup buttermilk

directions

1. Preheat oven to 400. Line baking sheet with parchment.
2. Stir first six ingredients. Cut butter in until it resembles coarse meal.
3. Stir in cranberries. Make a well in the center and add milk. DO NOT OVERMIX.
4. Transfer to surface. Shape into an 8" round. Transfer to sheet. Cut into 8 wedges.
5. Bake until golden, about 18-20 minutes.
