ingredients

  • ½ cup shortening
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • confectioners' icing

directions

1. Mix shortening, sugar, and eggs. Stir in bananas.
2. Measure and mix in dry ingredients. Chill 1 hour.
3. Heat oven to 375. Drop by teaspoon. Bake 6-10 minutes or until browned.
4. Frost with confectioners sugar icing.
